RAIFFEISEN INTERNATIONAL TO PURCHASE BANK IN ARMENIA
"Mediamax" informed that Raiffeisen International Austrian bank is going to purchase banks in Armenia and Kazakhstan. Referring to "Reuters," "Mediamax," said that the head of the bank Herbert Stepic stated this in the course of the annual meeting of the European Restoration and Development Bank share holders in Kazan. He emphasized that "the home political situation of the country is quite an important factor for the purchase." "We will be represented in the country where the state and the givernment will treat us kindly," he said.
The Raiffeisen International Bank is a large banking institution that posseses "Raiffeisenbank Austrian" and "Impexbank" in Russia. The latter posses almost 20 % of the Armenian "Areximbank" shares.
