STUDENTS DEMAND REFORMS IN EDUCATION SYSTEM OF ARMENIA
Recently, several thousands of Armenian students from various Armenian universities protested against the corruption in the education system in Armenia. "Huys" student organization initiated the protest-march against the university corruption and for the improvement of the university education. The students began marching from the Yerevan State University to RA Government building. The protesting students have also elaborated a package of suggestions and reforms aimed to the improvement of the local education system. The initiators of the protest called for inclusion of the representatives of non-governmental organizations into commissions supervising the entrance exams for to the state universities.
The students promise that they will initiate another rally, if the government and the relevant state bodies do not meet their demands.
