MINSK GROUOP FORMAT NOT TO BE ALTERED
OSCE president Goran Lenmarker and Foreign Minister of Armenia Vardan Oskanian on their yesterday meeting considered the matter of the upcoming elections in armenia. Mr. Lenmarker expersssed hope that the elections will be held on a level with the highest european requirements.
The European diplomat also expressed an opinion that after the elections certain agreement with Azerbaijan concerning the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict can be achieved. He said that the conflict cannot be considered extinguished until there are both prisioners of war and victims on both the sides. Taking into consiceration those facts, the necessity of coming to agreemennt in becoming more and more urgent.
Mr. Lenmarker said that in any case the format of the Minsk Group must never be altered, as the alteration may hamper the progress.
