OLD AGE THROUGH THE EYES OF YOUNG PAINTERS
"Armenian Caritas" charity organization organized an interesting exhibition at the Theatrical Square in Gyumri. Titled "Old Age Through the Eyes Painters", pulled in dozens of talented youth from city’s art schools who came here to express their thoughts on old age through their canvases. Standing at their easels they were painting for 1.5 hour.
The event was organized within the framework of "Home Care of the Old" project that "Armenia Caritas" launched in 2002 with an aim to bring the society’s attention to the issues faced by the old people. This arrangement also was of an educational character for the young participants some of whom depicted the old people surrounded by the care of grandchildren… Best paintings will be put on an exhibition.
