MINISTRY OF CULTURE GETTING READY FOR 15TH ANNIVERSARY OF ARMENIA’S INDEPENDENCE
- Narine Hovhannisian, head of Department of Secondary Education at the Ministry of Culture and Education, and Arkady Petrosian, head of Department of Extracurricular Training, presented on August 15 the arrangements of the Ministry for the upcoming celebrations of Independence Day.
The second pan-Armenian educational congress in Tsakhkadzor on August 17-20 will open celebrations. By the end of the congress the municipal and regional stages of a contest for the best essay titled "My Free Fatherland" will kick off. The results of the contest will be summarized by September 30 and the best essays will be published in "Krtutyun" and "Kanch" newspapers as well as will be posted on the Ministry’s website. Besides the contest the Ministry is going to stage exhibitions, seminars, concerts etc.
The first class on September 1 will be dedicated to the anniversary of independence. Within the framework of the celebrations the school children will meet with political figures, Artsakh War participants and will take part in seminars and conference.
