RA PRESIDENT: OUR AIM IS HOLDING GOOD ELECTIONS
- "I call on everyone to be actively engaged in parliamentary elections, everyone's vote may turn decisive," said the RA president, RPA leader Serzh Sargsyan today in Malishka village of Vayots Dzor. "Being the leader of the Republican Party of Armenia I would like the RPA to receive most of the votes on one hand, but on the other hand, to tell the truth, our aim is not that. We are first of all aimed at holding good elections, then making comparison of possibilities and taking a decision whether we will be able to continue our programs, or the RPA will have to yield to some other political force," President Sargsyan mentioned.

Today in Armenian history- 1862 Birth of H.F.B. Lynch in London of Irish parentage. Besides his study of law, he became noted as a writer, a geographer, a politician, and a traveller, with a keen interest in Armenia. His two-volume book on his Armenia travels is a classic and describes life in Armenia at the end of the 19th century. In 1906, he was elected to serve as a member of the British Parliament. (He died in London on 1913 11 24).
