MANTASHOV'S STATUE TO BE ERECTED IN YEREVAN
- From April 16 to 21, at the invitation of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan, Alexander Mantashov, the grandson of prominent benefactor Alexander Mantashov, is to arrive in Armenia, the press service of Yerevan Mayor's office reports. On April 18 at 17:00 pm the grandson of the benefactor will attend the opening ceremony of the statue of Al. Mantashov. The statue will be erected in the center of the capital in the neighborhood of Katoghike and St. Anna churches, on Abovyan Street. The author of the monument is famous sculptor Tigran Arzumanyan.

Today in Armenian history- 531 The Persian army defeats the Byzantine forces.
