SIX MILITANTS KILLED AS A RESULT OF BOMB ATTACK IN AFGHANISTAN
- Militant group Lashkar-e-Islam planted a bomb in northwest Pakistan that killed six members of a tribal militia set up to combat militants, an official said, the sources say. Three others were wounded in the blast, which occurred in the Khyber tribal district on the border with Afghanistan, local government official Khalid Mumtaz told NewsCore. "It was a planted bomb and was detonated when the anti-militiamen reached a private checkpoint" run by Lashkar-e-Islam, Mumtaz said.
