NA REFUSES THE DRAFT ON “NKR RECOGNITION”
“NK Conflict Settlement” declaration will be adopted instead, which is groundless in “heritage” party opinion. Yesterday, before the NA refused Raffi Hovhanisyan’s draft “on “NKR Recognition”, independent parliamentarian Victor Dallakyan warned that the refusal might have political negative consequences . “It might be used by our enemies as well. It may happen that the RA NA is against including the NKR recognition conflict in the agenda of the NA session.”
He proposed to include the draft in the agenda and keep there to demonstrate that “we have the NKR recognition in our reserves”. But NA Chairman Tigran Torosyan was not agree: “They manipulate everything, both the involvement, and non- involvement, both the silence and different standpoints. So their manipulation should not be a criteria for our activities.” He also added: “If there is any need for the RA to recognize the NKR independence, we can have it in 7 minutes”.
Armen Rustamyan reminded that nobody can be against the NKR recognition but also informed that the commission has proposed to postpone the issue till RA MFA, NA, NKR discussions are made. “Heritage” Party got angry with that standpoint, they reminded that project is being officially circulated for about 8 months and they could organize such discussions before. Raffi Hovhannisyan declared after the discussion when the draft was refused by 15 for, 62 against and 7obstaint votes that “this was an unprecedented result for the NA”.
