“SERGE SARGSYAN WILL BEAR THE RESPONSIBILITY”

Paruyr Hayrikyan thinks that Robert Kocharyan’s considerations and not the laws and the Constitution act in Armenia. “It is amusing to speak about the human rights in a country where the acting president considers the Ombudsman who is assigned by the NA according to the Constitution as “his cadre”, - leader of National Self-Determination Union Paruyr Hayrikyan said to “Aravot”. “If the whole country didn’t laugh at that expression, it means that the country itself is in an amusing situation, consequently it is meaningless to speak about the human rights”, - our interlocutor says. He also added that Robert Kocharyan obeyed the citizens’ constitutional rights to his considerations.
“Not the Constitution and the Constitutional items act in Armenia after the state of emergency but Robert Kocharyan’s considerations about dangers of mass meetings, stability. Just the fact that the first figure of the country dares make such declarations in front of the society, it means that the public doesn’t play its role and the human rights are a value of secondary importance.”
Mr. Hayrikyan’s attitudes towards the presidential elections are the following: “The President’s role was reduced so much after the Constitutional amendments that the political forces should understand; the President’s post is secondary”. Then he added: “That was a struggle for the post of the President, and dirty with all its consequences.”
“If the March incidents didn’t happen I could consider that contrary to the frauds made in the elections which have become common in Armenian political life since 1990 parliamentary elections when Serge Sargsyan declared that his opponents are his brothers and sisters and invited to work with him, I considered that offer as a very positive moment, a step for new political culture. But Serge Sargsyan will bear the responsibility for the March incidents though Robert Kocharyan was ruling the situation. Now he should do his best to change the situation. But it is very difficult for a common mortal.”

Even the ones that have their lives ruined by LTP, are supporting him. LTP is doing something right. It's ok "yes em", LTP will be president again sooner or later and you have no one to complain to but him. The irony is that he will listen to you and support your rights.
