4 lawmakers among 7 declare that they have backed Serge Sargsyan and still back him. NA parliamentarian Myasnik Malkhasyan declared during the mass meeting on Friday that NA 7 parliamentarians, Manvel Ghazaryan, Armen Mkhitaryan, Hrant Grigoryan, Seyran Saroyan from RPA faction, Karo Karapetyan, Tigran Stepanyan from Prosperous Armenia Party and free parliamentarian Rustam Gasparyan joined Levon Ter-Petrosyan. Seyran Saroyan, Manvel Ghazaryan and Rustam Gasparyan didn’t come to the NA and didn’t answer the calls. The rest of lawmakers answered the “Aravot’s” question.
Armen Mkhitaryan (RPA): “We have declared that we are with the people and are still with them. Different false interpretations are made on our behalf.”
Hrant Grigoryan (RPA):
-Is it true that you have joined Ter-Petrosyan?
- Certainly, it is not true. Nobody has a right to announce on my behalf as if I have joined Levon Ter-Petrosyan. I haven’t leaved Republican Party and have no intention to leave.
- Why was your name noted in the list of lawmakers who have joined the Movement? Maybe it connects with General Manvel Grigoryan (the latter is his uncle)?
- The General has no connection. Manvel Ghazaryan should simply call the people to calm down.
Karo Karapetyan: (PAP)
- Were you among the parliamentarians who joined Levon Ter-Petrosyan?
- I do not understand who has informed you. Nothing like this exists, I am a PAP member, I have defended Serge Sargsyan’s candidacy and still defend.
Tigran Stepanyan (PAP)
- Your name has also been noted in the list of lawmakers who have joined Levon Ter-Petrosyan.
- Not only my name but a lot of persons’ names have been declared which is not true. We have denied it; we have always backed Serge Sargsyan.
