POSSIBLE CONSOLIDATION

Both Levon Ter-Petrosyan and Arthur Baghdasaryan do not exclude the probability of consolidation.
The RA Police made an announcement yesterday, according to which 6000 supporters were present in the mass meeting held on February 3. While OEK (Rule of Law Party) parliamentarian Hovanes Margaryan declared that day the gathered people are about 100.000. OEK. The OEK has dropped its adherents by buses. It seemed the authorities have given up the bad tradition of preventing transportation. But it became clear that the worst traditions are still on.
H. Margaryan noted: “The policemen have stopped the buses and didn’t allow the passengers to participate in this rally”. The Police denied this yesterday saying that there were no facts to prove it.
Head of Arthur Baghdasaryan’s headquarters Heghine Bisharyan added: “The policemen from Ararat led by Gagik Avetisyan didn’t allow the transportation services to drop people off at the Freedom Square”. Arthur Baghdasaryan summarized their supporters from 21 residences were not allowed to participate in the rally.
In Heghine Bisharyan’s words: “Mass frauds are being made in Artashat, Armavir, Goris, Echmiadzin and Tashir, oligarch Samvel Alexanyan, who is richer than our country is, give bribes not only to the people but also to the members of electoral committees”.
Arthur Baghdasaryan declared during the press conference on February 2 that they will publish the names of those persons who distribute electoral bribes, and will show a record where a state official infringes the law.
OEK leader also replied to Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s announcement made in Vanadzor on February 1: “I have serious reasons to confirm that Rafi Hovannisyan and Arthur Baghdasaryan will join us”. The latter confirmed that the are negotiating with Ter-Petrosyan and “Heritage” leader: I think the opposition will be consolidated. The upcoming week is very important for development of political processes”.
Arthur Baghdasaryan also announced in his rally speech: “I am sure that Levon Ter-Petrosyan, Raffy Hovanisyan, all those people who what to live in free; fair country will join this mass meeting. Today it is not essential whom or who will join, but consolidation is very important”.
