PASSPORT DETAILS
Those who register it use Levon Ter-Petrosyan's name.
Two young men knocked at my flat's door on January 5 and were interested whom I was going to vote in the upcoming presidential elections. When we refused of answering them, they said: "If you will vote for Levon Ter-Petrosyan, sign here. We do this to prevent the elections". I called the responsible representatives of Levon Ter-Petrosyan's pre-electoral headquarters and asked them whether they know about the registration of passport details. I received a negative answer and told those two guys about it. In answer to that denial they tried to explain that there were Vano Siradeghyan's relatives, and that Ararat Zurabyan is the author of that initiative. It was found out after another phone call that the latter wasn't physically able to initiate it since he has been in the U.S.A. for several months. Let's present how Alexander Arzumanyan, the head of Levon Ter-Petrosyan's pre-electoral Central Headquarters, explained that fact, that people register passport details on behalf of Levon Ter-Petrosyan. "Those confirmations are not true, since Levon Ter-Petrosyan's team works within the framework of the law. This way of action is very typical for the current authorities. We haven't ordered anyone to register passport details, this is a slander, and we condemn it." In answer to our question why do the authorities need in those details while the whole police system with passport information is under their control, Mr. Arzumanyan said: "They asked people whether they are going to vote for Levon Ter-Petrosyan, and they kill two birds with one stone. First of all they find out the list of citizens who will vote for Levon Ter-Petrosyan. This information may be used for frauds , they will know instead of whom they shouldn't vote. It is very profitable for the authorities to find out the list of Levon Ter-Petrosyan's voters".
P.S. Serge Sargsyans' supporters visit the citizens' flats and distribute brochures where it is explained why people should vote for that candidate. This proves that they have launched the campaign while it is not the time yet according to the law.
