MAYOR'S OFFICE SAYS IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH COLLECTION OF SIGNATURES

The Mayor's Office of Armenia's Gyumri City has issued a statement saying that they have no connection with the collection of signatures in support of Gyumri Mayor Vardan Ghukasyan.
"In response to the reports published in print and electronic media according to which a group of young people have initiated a collection of signatures in defense of Vardan Ghukasyan, we announce that neither the Mayor nor his teammates have any connection with the move. It is not typical of the work style of Vardan Ghukasyan," reads the statement.
