BHK DOESN'T HAVE A PREFERRED CANDIDATE

The NKR presidential elections might make a great contribution to the negotiations over the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
According to Chairperson of the NA Standing Committee on European Integration, secretary of Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) Naira Zohrabyan, those elections can serve as a serious guarantee for Armenia to say that "it is dealing with a functioning democratic state that has all the democratic institutions, where the elections are much more democratic, freer and more transparent than the parliamentary elections taking place in several countries in the region".
Underlining that all the previous elections in the NKR have corresponded to democratic standards, Zohrabyan mentioned that if the July 19 elections aren't held as such, "that will debilitate Armenia's positions to a certain extent and we will lose one of our guarantees".
She is certain that after the NKR holds presidential elections at the high level, all international organizations will be forced to take that into consideration.
Tomorrow two deputies of the BHK faction, including Rustam Gasparyan and Ruben Gevorgyan, will leave for the NKR as part of the parliamentary delegation that will observe the presidential elections.
Naira Zohrabyan says she has a preferred candidate out of the three candidates, but didn't mention that candidate's name. "That is my personal viewpoint since the party doesn't have a decision on this," said Zohrabyan.
