PROTEST IN FRONT OF MUNICIPALITY

A protest against the construction at Nansen Park will be held in front of Yerevan Municipality at 11:00 on June 27.
With this protest, the residents of the area located near the park have issued a statement in which it is stated:
"Construction continues at Nansen Park, but we suspect the legal grounds for that. There haven't been any public hearings, and the municipality has only responded to residents' protests through a press conference in which there hasn't been any substantiated information about the construction.
Taking all this into account, as well as the successful and failed attempts that have been made to use public areas for their purpose, we, citizens of Yerevan and particularly residents of the area located near Nansen Park, will hold a protest near Yerevan Municipality to demand that the mayor personally respond to the residents' questions and annul the decisions taken without our, meaning the residents' consent.
We call on all interested parties to express their protest by showing up to the protest and contribute to the conservation of another public, green area and purposeful use of that area."
