HE WON'T RESIGN EVEN AFTER COURT DECISION

After the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) executive committee's session last week in which Serzh Sargsyan introduced the new government's officials, the happiest was Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan, who was talking to the presses and giving interviews.
"A1+" asked Ashotyan if he was happy because he was still the minister.
"I was happy for my party's committee session. It is always a pleasure for me to see my partisans and work for my party," said the HHK minister.
It is already known that the Minister of Education and Science is in a trial with former Rector of Yerevan State Linguistic University Suren Zolyan, who disputes Ashotyan's decision on dismissing him.
When asked if he would resign, if the former rector wins the dispute in court, the minister said:
"If I lose, I will appeal to the next court instance. If I lose in the other instance, I will go to the next one. Do you want me to resign to exercise my power as minister through the procedure established by the law?" said Ashotyan.
In response to the question of whether he would resign if the court decided that he didn't exercise his powers correctly or not, Ashotyan said: "Of course not. I didn't get appointed to dismiss Suren Zolyan. We'll talk after the court announces its verdict."
