EMMY TO SING YEREVAN'S ANTHEM
Armenian and French-Armenian singers Emmy and Yesai Altunian will premiere their video clip for Yerevan's anthem "Erebuni Erevan" on June 13. The video was made by French and Armenian experts as part of the "Menk u Menk" (Us) television program broadcast on Armenian Public Television.
Emmy says she and Altunian chose this song because of the value that it represents to them and the Armenian people.
"If we compare all anthems of our periods throughout history, I must say that I love this one the most," said Emmy.
This time the well-known song will be presented with a new musical arrangement. The singers say that is what will attract foreigners, make them love Armenian culture and bring them to Armenia.
"Armenians are not weak, but strong and shouldn't just present themselves as a nation that has experienced genocide," said Yesai Altunian.
