HOVIK ABRAHAMYAN NO LONGER PARLIAMENT SPEAKER

In compliance with Article 20 of the National Assembly's Rules of Procedure, Hovik Abrahamyan reconfirmed his resignation as NA Speaker on November 21.
In line with Article 2 of the same law, vice-speaker of the National Assembly shall perform the duties of the NA Speaker if he/she has gained majority of votes. Consequently, Vice-Speaker Samvel Nikoyan, who received most votes (104) during the election, will assume the duties of the NA Speaker.
Hovik Abrahamyan resigned to head the electoral headquarters of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA).
