DEPUTY'S DESCENDENTS DO NOT GIVE APARTMENTS
Children of untimely deceased deputy Melik Gasparyan received inheritance but they refuse to fulfill their commitments, complain former residents of Amiryan street.
In 2004, the deputy signed a contract with 20 families of the street according to which Gasparyan privatized their apartments promising to give them new ones within 30 months. Under the contract, the families were promised new flats in an elite building. Moreover, the former deputy was obliged to pay 700 dollars per day if he failed to fulfill his obligations within the fixed time. Seven years have passed since then but the residents have not received new flats.
They promised Gasparyan's heirs not to demand the fines provided that they were resettled in the new building beside the elite one. The building was initially designed as a hotel.
"We have to pay cadastral fees. When asked when the building will be completed they say in a month or five," said Vachagan Tadevosyan.
"They have eaten the meat and now throw the bones to us. They have forgotten that we have given them our homes, not our barns," continued Anahit Melkonyan, another resident of Amiryan street.
