NO CONFRONTATION

There has not been a confrontation between coordinator of "ARMENIA TODAY" online newspaper Argishti Kiviryan and those who committed the assassination attempt, said Kiviryan to "A1+". Let us remind that the first instance court of Kentron and Nork-Marash districts gave the two detainees a two-month imprisonment sanction for committing the assassination attempt against Kiviryan. Kiviryan can't remember the names Serobyan and Kilikyan. Kiviryan didn't say which profession was the reason for the assault. "I refrain from amking any announcement right now." Police say preliminary investigation is in progress. On the dawn of April 30 Kiviryan was attacked by three anonymous people at the entrance of his house located on 9 Nalbandyan Street. Journalists had found the bullets at the scene of the crime and the neighbors had heard gunshots. The police had first brought up a case based on Article 117 of the Criminal Code (small physical injuries causing slight damage to the health on purpose) and on May 7 the investigation was transferred to the National Security Service investigative department. Later, the charge was requalified under Point 7, Part 2, Articles 34-104 of the Criminal Code: assassination attempt by a group of people. Police denied that the criminal case brought up for the assault against "Shant" TV host Nver Mnatsakanyan had been revealed. Public relations correspondent of the police Armen Malkhasyan said that the news published in the presses is not accurate and investigation is in progress. The assault against the TV host was committed on May 6 at 12:02 a.m. in front of the first entrance of building 20/3 located on Margaryan Street by two anonymous people. A criminal case was brought up based on Point 3, Part 2, Article 113:"Causing medium critical damage to the health on purpose by a group of people or an organized group."
