WANT TO SEE IT WITH THEIR OWN EYES

Families of victims of the TU-154 flight were gathered at the "Zvartnots" airport since morning. Over seven departments were serving nearly 41 passengers who left the Iranian capital of Tehran at 12:45 p.m. This time the Caspian Airlines' Boeing-747 would transport the relatives to Tehran. The relatives of the victims were hugging each other at the airport and many of them needed medical aid from time to time. Diana Sargsyan is an Iranian citizen and came to Yerevan two days ago. She was going to greet her uncle's 52-year old daughter Armen Sargsyan (in this case it is a woman's name-ed.). The latter was also an Iranian citizen, had kids and was working in the U.S. Armen Sargsyan was coming to Yerevan for a tour. Diana Sargsyan told us that she heard different news at the airport yesterday. "Yesterday I still had hope that he would she would be alive, but my hope is gone because I found out that nobody had stayed alive from the crash," said Diana, crying. Mechanic Roman Makaryan is heading to Tehran with the hope to see what part he can bring to organize a funeral here. His brother-in-law Grigor Barseghyan, 41, died and had two minors. He would be 41 on July 28. "We don't know anything yet and nobody is promising anything. Everything will be clear when we get there," he said. Caspian Airlines correspondent in Armenia Arlen Davudyan told journalists that in addition to the 41 passengers, there were other people who wanted to leave for Tehran, yet had problems with documentation. They will leave on Saturday, July 18. According to him, Tehran will receive all relatives, provide hotel accomodations and will take them to the scene of the event unless law-enforcement bodies don't cause any trouble for investigation. The tickets are two-way and the relatives may return to Yerevan whenever they want. As for compensation, Arlen Davudyan said that all passengers are insured and will receive legal compensation after the lists are cleared up. The preliminary amount for compensation for each passenger is 32,000 euros.
