PASHINYAN IN COURT
- Tomorrow the Kentron-Nork Marash districts' first instance court will select the precautionary measures to be applied for editor-in-chief of "Haykakan Zhamanak" daily Nikol Pashinyan. Today the trial was postponed for tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. after the approval of Pashinyan's advocates' petition for time to prepare. Let us remind that Pashinyan was charged yesterday with three articles of the Criminal Code, including Part 1 of Article 225 (organizing disturbances), prim-1 of Article 225 (organizing mass events by violating constituted law) and Part 1 of Article 316 (assault against a police officer). Nikol Pashinyan came to court today in handcuffs and before entering the courtroom, screamed "Fight, fight, until the end" to those watching him from a distance. The police did not let the people who had come to greet Pashinyan and the journalists who had come to cover the trial to even pass the gate. Nikol Pashinyan was under persecution for the past year and four months and it had already been decided that imprisonment was the precautionary measure to be applied. However, in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe's Resolution 1677, the Assembly had proposed the Armenian authorities to leave the persecuted who present themselves in liberty until the end of the trial.
