AZERBAIJAN AND ARMENIAN PARLIAMENT HAVE THE SAME STANCE

"It is not excluded that a project on the recognition of NKR independence will be circulated in the PACE with the countersignatures of Azerbaijani and Turkish delegates. The project is initiated by Zaruhi Postanjian," says Spokesperson for the Heritage Party Hovsep Khurshudian. The latter says this time Mrs. Postanjian will face some difficulties as Azerbaijan and the Armenian Parliament have the same stance on the issue. Heritage member Stepan Safarian presented a packet of documents supporting Azerbaijan's territorial wholeness and demanding "that Armenian troops be withdrawn from the occupied territories." Member of the Heritage faction and Armenian delegate to the PACE Zaruhi Postanjian will again gather signatures from Turkish and Azerbaijani Deputies at the Parliamentary Assembly if it derives from the interest of Armenia. Mrs. Postanjian says she would do the same thing if she had another chance as the proposals referred to people sacrificing for Artsakh. "I would congratulate anyone who would go to the PACE, make a speech, raise the Genocide issue, speak about the occupied territories by Azerbaijan and have his proposals signed by Azerbaijani and Turkish delegates," said Zaruhi Postanjian adding that her proposals had been signed by Chairperson of the Political Affairs Committee Mr. Göran Lindbland and Chairman of the Socialist Group Andreas Gross. Mrs. Postanjian says that all those who have offended her will be made accountable before the law. "All those who encroached upon my family and me will be punished," said Mrs. Postanjian.
