ONE WILL REFUSE HIS MANDATE, THE OTHER WILL NOT
- Amnestied parliamentarians Hakob Hakobian and Miasnik Malkhasian today announced that one of them would refuse his mandate and the other would not. "What shall I do in the National Assembly? I felt safer in prison than in the National Assembly where I was to vote for and legalize the March 1 carnage and the state of emergency imposed by Robert Kocharian," said Miasnik Malkhasian. Hakob Hakobian will not lay down his mandate as he states to have been elected by people on majoritarian system. "Some 20 000 people voted for me," noted Mr. Hakobian. Hakob Hakobian says he has a grudge against nobody. "Let them blame themselves for their misdeeds. I have a complete imagination of the country and I blame no one," he added.
