WILL THERE BE ANOTHER VERDICT AGAINST ARMENIA?

While Armenia continues to investigate the March 1 events, the European Court is busy checking-up on the legitimacy of the operations implemented by the RA authorities against the opposition on the night of April 12, 2004.
Let us recall that during the April events, police had beaten member of the political council of the “Republic” party, participant of the Artsakh war Artak Jeynalyan and had kept him illegally in the police division for 36 hours. Zeynalyan had appealed to the European Court for Human Rights. The government sent the answers to the list of questions of the EC to the European Court for Human Rights and the court sent the questions to Artak Zeynalyan as well.
“We have brought up arguments regarding the answers of the government and have included our evaluations and comments. In other words, the case is in progress and the RA authorities will soon be forced to fall to the European Court,” said the plaintiff.
Let us note that this is yet another case filed by Artak Zeylanyan. The EC has already reached positive verdicts for opposition activists Armen Mkrtchyan, Varsham Galstyan, Gayane Ashughyan against the Republic of Armenia.
