RESIDENTS OF GYUMRI DEPRIVED OF LIFE PENSION
Two weeks ago representatives of the “Compulsory Enforcement of Judicial Acts” (CEJA) visited Minas Avetisyan Str., Gyumri.
As it turned out, residents of House 9 had not yet paid for the central heating, served to them by “Warm Winter” Ltd in the winter of 2004.
Without signing an agreement the company had heated the flats of House 9, and though the residents were not content with the heating system and were cold, now they have to pay for the service. By the way, “Warm Winter” Ltd is now liquidated.
Two weeks ago representatives of CEJA visited residents of the House 9 to extort valuable goods but they found nearly nothing in the house occupied by pensioners.
And now the residents are paid a second surprise – the CEJA Department of Shirak Region has sent them a decision on seizing the residents’ pension.
In fact, the decision is unilateral. The residents do not even know who the applicant is. The seized money is to be transferred to the account of CEJA. Moreover, appellation of CEJA decisions does not suspend the responsibilities of the residents.
The Law says only the pension of disability cannot be seized.
Manager of “Warm Winter” Ltd Edik Adumian notes that he raised claim two years ago and is not involved in the present processes.
