ZHARANGUTIUN GOT INVITATION

“The Zharangutiun (Heritage) Party has received an invitation to participate in the National Congress. The party is to give an answer on July 25,” Zharangutiun's Press Secretary Hovsep Khurshudian said on July 21.
Deputy Chairman of the party's political board, Movses Aristakessian, says the Armenian authorities do not meet the PACE resolutions.
They should make a fair enquiry into the March 1 events, release political prisoners, sanction opposition rallies and dismiss criminal cases based on policemen's testimony. Movses Aristakessian doesn't inspire great hopes in the NA ad hoc Committee as it is set up under a wrong format. Besides, the NA agreed to the detention of the Armenian parliamentarians.
Reminder, the Zharangutiun suggested that MPs Miasnik Malkhassian and Sasun Mikayelian be involved in the Committee.
Their participation will entirely change the Committee's activity. If the authorities do not fear from a fair investigation they should agree to the “50:50” format.
