Ex-President of France Jacques Chirac congratulated RA Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian on appointment. The message states:
“It was a greet pleasure for me to learn that you entered the Government of the Republic of Armenia as Minister of Foreign Affairs.
My warmest congratulations on this occasion! It is the recognition of your great talent, which I had the finest opportunity to evaluate during your term as Armenian Ambassador to France.
In fact, you worked with great vigor and enthusiasm for the sake of development of French-Armenian relations and you had a significant role in the formation of close and intense ties, which are characteristic to the relations between our countries today.
Rendering my best wishes of success in your new and responsible mission, I kindly ask you to accept my compliments of deep respect and friendly feelings, Mr. Minister”.
