ARRESTS CONTINUE

Resident of Aparan David Mikaelian detained yesterday afternoon was set free only today morning. He was invited to a police station without any summons or accusations. Mikaelian was kept in the police station for 20 hours.
Five more people were detained today in Aparan.
The police department of Malatia district has been working rather “actively” today. According to some verified sources over 25-30 people have been called to the station today among them the employees of a gold market and two HZhK members. They have already been interrogated in a police department.
“All their attempts are aimed at creating an atmosphere of fear in the country through repressive methods. They fully realise that the popular movement cannot be stopped. People are determined to restore their violated rights,” HZhK board member Ruzan Khachatrian told A1+.

As Hakobian is under arrest, the term of his detention has been extended. No investigation has been conducted so far. Besides, there are no grounds for sending the case to the court. Therefore, they try to extort testimony from employees to institute false proceedings.
The pre-election headquarters for Levon Ter-Petrossian confirmed the information adding that people have been called to police stations in Armavir and Etchmaidzin as well.
