HUNGER-STRIKE CEASED
25 out of 26 political prisoners followed first President Levon Ter-Petrossian's appeal and stopped the hunger-strike. Only Petros Makeyan / “Nubarashen” Penitentiary Institution / still continue his hunger strike, reports Arsen Babayan, press secretary for the Criminal Penitentiary Department at the RA Justice Ministry.
To remind, on April 10 Levon Ter-Petrossian called on the hunger-strikers to stop the hunger strike.
“Acknowledging the importance of this extreme form of political struggle and appreciating the heroism of people going on a hunger strike, I urge them to stop the hunger strike immediately.”
