TER-PETROSYAN’S HEADQUARTER SMASHED UP

The door and the windows of the RA First President’s pre-election headquarter were broken in Malatia-Sebastia community tonight. The perpetrators of the ferocity felt their traces in front of the entry door - leftovers were hanging on the door and windows. But Ter-Petrosyan’s poster was not damaged just because it was stamped very high.
“A1+” wanted to visit the election precinct 7/21, which was located in the neighboring building of Ter-Petrosyan’s headquarter, when the votes were being counted. A sleepy policeman met us in front of the door and refused to open the door. “I will ask the head of the commission and return. Wait here”. Some time later the policeman returned and said: “He did not allow letting you in”.
When we explained the policeman that according to the RA Election Code journalists had the right to be present at all election processes, including counting of votes and recording, the policeman responded: “Let me ask the head of the commission again”. Returning the policeman asked: “The head of the commission asks which TV channel you represent”. We had to elucidate that the Election Code referred to all representatives of mass media without discrimination. Our persistence made the head of the election commission Artyom Narekatsyan come up to us and answer to our questions behind the closed door.
Acknowledging that we were from “A1+”, Mr Narekatsyan got disappointed and said: “I want to finish my business as soon as possible and go home”. It was senseless to mention the provision of the Election Code. Narekatsyan said: “You should have come sooner, I will not open the door now, look at the time”, and left.
By the way, 7/21 election precinct was not the only one where the heads of the election commissions refused to open doors and let the representatives of mass media in. At some precincts they made Ter-Petrosyan’s proxies out, particularly, those proxies who did not take bribes.
