TER-PETROSYAN TALKED TO THE VICTORIOUS NATION

“Today I want to talk to each of you. I want to speak to the nation who has already won”, appealed the RA First President Levon Ter-Petrosyan to the participants of the gathering.
Before appealing to the nation, he asked everyone to let down the posters and flags and said: “I want to see your faces”.
Ter-Petrsoyan considered today’s gathering the end of the campaign and summed it up. He pointed out that he had meetings in all regions during the campaign. “The most active and the informed electorate are in Yerevan. We have no problems here. We have problems in the far regions. The 10 years of usurpation atmosphere has established the atmosphere of psychological fear in the country. After 2003 our TV companies have presented a completely different world, a different country. The campaign of the admonition has been carried out day and night, and the opposition has been discredited, any voice of complain was suppressed”.
Ter-Petrosyan underlined that in many regions people were not aware of the country they were living in: “But gradually they have became aware of it. We are amazed that the residents of Spitak and Stepanavan have changed. They have changed their mentalities”.
“The authorities managed to convince the nation that nothing could stop them, that they were the only men. But they are deluded”.
Ter-Petrosyan said: “The authorities should understand that their ship has wrecked. Those, who are standing next to Serge Sargsyan and Robert Kocharyan, betray the nation”.
Then the First President continued: “Visiting each region, we saw the decisiveness and conscientiousness of the nation. In each region the number of people was increasing, the national movement was becoming more powerful”. Highly estimating the political conciseness of the nation, Ter-Petrosyan noted: “The whole functioning administration in the RA territory is defeated”.
