“LEVON TER-PETROSDYAN I S THE REAL CANDIDATE”

The Leader of the “New Times” party Aram Karapetyan is making a speech now. But before him Vardan Khachatryan, representative of the “Heritage” party made a speech instead of Raffi Hovhannisian. Vardan Khachatryan announced that Raffi Hovhannisian was in abroad at the moment with a special mission: with the claim to stop genocide against the Armenian culture, particularly, in Turkey and in Azerbaijan. He pointed out that at the beginning of the campaign the party made and announcement, calling all political parties to unite, and expressed wish that it would be better if all political power united Ter-Petrosyan.
Armen Ghazaryan, member of the “Orinats Yerkir” Central Organization also made a speech during the gathering. He said that he joined the movement since the nation demanded it today, but did not mention the number of the members of the party who joined the movment.
Myasnik Malkhasyan, member of the “Armenian National Movement” party, made a speech during the meeting as well. He appealed to the authorities, saying that for many years, they had been trying to ascribe the cold and dark years to the First President and discredit him in the eyes of the families of the participants of Karabakh war. “We all have left that but today Ter-Petrosyan is the leader whom we are obliged to join, since he symbolizes our victory, but not the cold and the dark years”, he said.
Nikol Pushinyan noted in his speech that among the 9 presidential candidates, Levon Ter-Petrosyan was the only real candidate, “While the other 7 candidates serve the group of bandits”. “Those who do not unite Ter-Petrosyan are against this national movement, since the only real candidate who is capable to win and defeat today’s’ authorities is Levon Ter-Petrosyan”, he said.
The speakers note that many people participate in the gathering today and such gatherings took place only in 1988. In his speech Marxist David Hakobyan stated that Robert Kocharyan and Serge Sargsyan were criminals, but they were unable to defeat the nation. “It’s time to win and we will, definitely, win”.
