ARAM HARUTIUNIAN: “OUR RATING IS INCREASING”
“Our rating is increasing day by day,” Leader of the “National Consent” Party (AHK) Aram Harutiunian said on February 1.
Since the official onset of the pre-election campaign, a lot of people, even detainees, have voiced support for the AHK Leader. Besides, many residents attend the AHK office to show their interest towards the presidential candidate though the latter hasn’t visited marzes yet.
Aram Harutiunian doesn’t rule out that the AHK may not second any of the candidates in the second round as they did during the election of 2003. “The situation will determine our further steps,” he says.
As of the general atmosphere of the pre-election campaign, Aram Harutiunian said, “All issues should be solved on the basis of national consent without collisions. Candidates shouldn’t denigrate each other.”
The candidates’ programmes have some similarities, whereas Aram Harutiunian’s programme differs due to three major provisions.
“Firstly, I highlight the idea of having an economic parliament. Secondly, I propose my model of the electoral system. And thirdly, Armenia should have a law on opposition.”
