PARTY MEMBERS ARE QUITTING GEGHAMIAN

Marietta Petrossian, member of the “National Unification” Party (AMK) and head of the Nairi Office of the AMK, left the party today. She told A1+ about her decision today. Marietta Petrossian has been affiliated with the AMK since 2002.
“I strongly believed Geghamian’s motto “Let us rid Armenia of the Karabakh clan.” Unfortunately, today while watching the pre-election campaign I see that the AMK rather struggles against Levon Ter-Petrossian than takes steps to exile the clan. The party favours reproduction of Kocharian-Sarkissian pair with its stance,” Marietta Petrossian said.
“They want to leave an impression that the first President is responsible for the current state in the country. The party’s stance contradicts my principles. I no longer want to affiliate with the party,” she said.
After quitting Geghamian’s team Petrossian voiced support for Levon Ter-Petrossian. “I am confident that Levon Ter-Petrossian is the only candidate capable of winning a landslide victory and eradicating the acting criminal regime thus saving Armenia from this nightmare.”
“Marietta Petrossian hasn’t submitted any application to the party yet. As soon as we learn anything we shall inform mass media,” AMK Deputy Chairman Gagik Tadevossian told A1+.
