Residents of Aparan welcomed the first President with bread and salt. The presentees avoided interviews and said they feared the local authorities.
To remind, Armenia’s Prosecutor General comes from Aparan.
People said they had been threatened not to attend the meeting. Nevertheless, over 200 people gathered in Aparan to meet the former President.
“Democracy gives a chance to remove the acting authorities. Serzh Sarkissian is guilty of all sins ascribed to the first President. Two budgets are drawn up every year-one for the state, the other for the authorities.”
The meeting was held in front of Serzh Sarkissian’s pre-election headquarters.
“You can elect either me or the person drawn on that wall,” Levon Ter-Petrossian said.
