DISAPPOINTED IN OPPOSITION
Chairman of the “Union for National Self-Determination” Paruyr Hairikyan is disappointed in the opposition leaders, who have not united. “Some of them are mean, some alliterated, others are sold. I have the right to say this, since I have passed a path that has become common for everyone and peruse no ambitions. None of you is equal to me in national political activities, and despite this I am ready to form a team for the sake of certain programs,-said Paruyr Hairikyan to “A1+” and added,-They do not have the level to understand who is the true candidate of president, but I will somehow adjust to that idea, I consider that it is not necessarily important for everyone to have a certain level, at least the true democracy foresees the participation of illiterate people in the political activities as well. But the fact that they cannot reach a common ground proves that they are sold, they are sold to low ambitions. I say low since healthy ambitions are based on certain programs, on a certain path”.
According to Paruyr Hairikyan, Ter-Petrosyan’s proposed model is partly similar to his transitional ideas. But Hairikyan is not going to support the First President. Hairikyan considers Ter-Petrosyan’s tone insulting.
Hairikyan was annoyed “if you do not join me I will not resign in 3 years” idea. “You should offer a program that will be of benefit for the nation”.
Paruyr Hairikyan did not want to talk about Ter-Petrosyan long saying that there were other candidates as well and he was one of them. Hairikyan said that Ter-Petrosyan was a little late; he should have participated in the parliamentary elections. “This means that he is not interested in politics, he is interested in his individuality. A person who idolizes his personality is reprehensible”.
