“I HAVE NO MONEY, BUT I DON’T COMPLY”

A new movement of “Civic disobedience” is starting led by former Foreign Minister Alexander Arzoumanyan and member of the council of “Brotherhood of Liberation War” Arkadi Karapetyan.
They signed a statement about a month ago; a number of organizations and parties joined them too. As for what steps will be taken, Alexander Arzoumanyan did not go into details; he advised us to wait a few days. He said the same thing about the financing of the movement, “What financing are you talking about? Why do we need financing? For example, I don’t have money, but I don’t comply. Gagik Tsaroukyan has money but he complies”, he added.
The disobedience movement will be against the “criminal authorities” which must leave as soon as possible and “make way for legal and legitimate authorities”.
“We fight against the despotism which rules in Armenia today. The press and the television are in the hands of a group and engage in the reproduction of the authorities. We call on all the individuals, organizations and deputies to join the movement in order to protect our statehood and the future of our children which is in danger today”, Alexander Arzoumanyan said.
He will fight not only against Robert Kocharyan but also against the whole regime.
“The present authorities have to leave; as for where they will go, that’s another question. This system must be destroyed. Factually, the ways chosen by the opposition resulted fruitless; we need new measures. We must establish law and order in the country”, announced Alexander Arzoumanyan.
