KARABAKH CAN PROTECT ITSELF
«The best peace-keeper can be the army of Karabakh» , announced the NKR Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan reminding that peace is preserved thanks to that very army. {BR}
He mentioned that the Karabakh army is ready to protect the country in case of any forceful encroachments. And in case they are not forceful, the army will not take any step contradicting the security of the people.
The Minister has informed that he has received a letter about the coming visit of the OSCE higher planning group. The letter said that the group will visit the borders and will investigate the possibility of locating peaceful forces there.
Does it mean that the Karabakh authorities have already agreed to the location of the peaceful forces? The Minister said that the discussions are still continuing, but in any case the Karabakh army will always exist. The Minister also mentioned that last year the army was equipped with new weapons.
Speaking about the return of the refugees, Seyran Ohanyan mentioned that it can take place only after the solution of the problem of the status of Karabakh. «During the war we solved the question in order not to have inner problems in Karabakh later», he said.
