PEOPLE THINK KOCHARYAN WILL REMAIN PRESIDENT
Serge Sargsyan, Arthur Baghdasaryan and Robert Kocharyan top the list of the possible Presidents of the country (according to the constitution Robert Kocharyan does not have the right to be re-elected a third time - editor). These were the result of the “Monitoring of the RA Population’s Political and Democratic Views”. By the way, in answer to the question “Whom would you like to see President of the country?” the names mostly mentioned by the people were those of Artashes Geghamyan, Raffi Hovhannisyan and Arthur Baghdasaryan. {BR}
This monitoring was carried out by the RF development fund «Democracy Caucasian Institute». The aim of the monitoring was to find out the political and democratic views of the RA citizens and to represent the true pictures of the events in Armenia.
During today's conference in the Journalists' Union the executive director of the South Caucasian representation of the fund Armenica Kiviryan mentioned that they have worked with independent sociologists and the number of mistakes in the results is very low, «We worked not with question sheets but had real interviews with real people. We simply represent real numbers», she said. The questions, according to her, were chosen as a result of discussions.
1600 people have participated in the survey. 600 of them were from the capital, and the others represented the regions – 100 people from each region.
