WILL ROBERT KOCHARYAN DELIVER A MESSAGE?
- «Today's draft Constitution has no owners or is attributed to the Venice Commission; one does not know whom to complain of the shortcomings», head of the Yerevan State University Armenian History Chair Yuri Hovsepyan announced during the public discussion organized in the Parliament today. {BR}
Vahan Hovhannisyan assured that the draft has owners – the three coalition parties are responsible for it. Dean of the Yerevan State University Law Faculty Gagik Ghazinyan reminded that no lawyer from their faculty has participated in the discussions and that the lack of professional work is obvious. He also noted that today's agitators praised the previous draft with the same energy.
Political commentator of Armenia TV Rafik Hovhannisyan called on the coalition to attack and to unmask the opposition because there is no time left. By the way, he expressed his readiness to “to unmask some of them”.
The intellectuals wanted to have answers to their questions. Particularly, Yuri Hovsepyan announced it would be right for Robert Kocharyan to answer the questions which have been aroused with a speech-message, and to allay fears saying, for example, that Meghri will not be given to Azerbaijan.
By the way, many people suggested that Kocharyan should deliver a message. Vahan Hovhannisyan promised to pass their offer to Kocharyan.
Finally those present at the discussions concluded, “The election, whatever it might be, is that of our nation, and we must not fear or be embarrassed of it”.
