WHY THEY REMEMBERED THE OMBUDSMAN
- Member of the Armenian delegation in the PACE Davit Harutyunyan stated in the National Assembly that the independent investigation of the events of March 1 should be entrusted to the Ombudsman of Armenia. The head of the delegation in the PACE Armen Rustamyan also made such a reference. Has the Ombudsman of Armenia Armen Harutyunyan received such a suggestion yet or does he agree that his office must be occupied by the independent investigation? “To be honest, it was a surprise for me. I am not ready to give any response to that question yet but I am for the conduct of the investigation,” said Harutyunyan to the reporter of our newspaper. He also mentioned that the Ombudsman’s office will release its statement about the events of March 1 on April 25. “There are also recommendations. You will see our standpoint in that report,” said the Ombudsman.
